Hi, I’m Jon.

I first started working in crypto in 2017 and have basically been obsessed ever since.

In 2021-2022 I was Design Lead for a blockchain incubator, which meant that I designed, reviewed, or advised multiple projects in the growing DeFi sector.

Doing this, I got a feel for what was “good design” and what was “bad design”.

And I accumulated a lot of notes.

So I started publishing on Medium as a way of open-sourcing my findings.

The Handbook

This guidebook takes everything I’ve already published, adds some new stuff, and organises it into a little volume full of tips and tricks to make web3 slightly better. 🙂

I don’t think anything in this guidebook is the best way of doing something, but hopefully it makes the path a bit clearer. I look forward to watching web3 UX improve in the future.
